VP, Finance
Thrive partners is working with a client to find a Sr. level VP, Finance. This is a well-established movie production company based out of LA and Vancouver. Annual company revenue is 30M/year.
Lead a small team in all finance matters. Working with the ownership, you will maintain the day to day accounting and financial reporting, you will drive process improvements in the current business and be involved in the overall planning for the division. This is a big picture role and our client is looking for someone to be a strategic partner for their acquisition focused company.
Responsibilities
• Establish the strategic direction of the division and manage day to day activities
Cordinate with parent comanies to keep quarterly books in line with US GAAP and oversee cash flows for multiple productions
• Drive process improvement initiatives identify opportunities to improve efficiencies operationally and financially
• Build strong working relationships with operational leadership and employees to better understand where value added projects can be initiated
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals
• Develop business cases and present initiatives to senior management highlighting areas of concerns and action plans
• Develop and present proposals for expansion opportunities to the corporate office
• Manage working capital requirements and targets by establishing and maintaining clear internal key performance metrics
Requirements
• A professional accounting designation and qualifications (US CPA, MBA) along with at least 10 years of senior managerial experience
• Big picture business partner with a demonstrated track record of success in a similar role
• Strong business process and business strategy experience coupled with experience in manufacturing, distribution and operations is a plus
• Leadership mentality with the drive to grow, adapt and execute plans
• An open and articulate communicator with strong analysis, presentation and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Proven strategic thinking ability to apply a “bottom line”, results-oriented approach
• Excellent analytical skills, and applies a creative approach to problem solving
• US GAAP experience is a plus
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 / year.
